Hope For All’s Impact

Since its founding, HFA has funded over 500 annual primary and secondary school tuition payments for orphaned children in the DRC. HFA has also funded over 100,000 nutritious meals for orphaned children in the DRC.

Because we give directly to the DRC orphanage with which we partner, 100% of proceeds go directly to services for the children that need them most. THANK YOU to our past and present donors for your support.

Hope For All’s Story

  • Upon learning about the hardships that orphaned children in low-income countries faced during the process of adoption of her incredible younger sisters from the DRC, Sophia Gustafson founded HFA to fundraise for orphan’s essential needs. Given that Sophia was in elementary school, these fundraisers usually consisted of selling homemade crafts for a few dollars. Even though HFA’s impact at this time was small, its idea was big; EVERY kid deserves hope. This is where HFA’s simple namesake came from; a childhood belief that there should be Hope For All.

  • Over the following seven years HFA’s fundraisers varied; from singing fundraisers, to selling more crafts, to seeking private donations. HFA’s projects also varied; from collecting toothbrushes for children in a Syrian refugee camp, to purchasing clothes for orphaned children in Uganda, to planting trees in deforested areas.

  • Upon learning it had lost all other consistent forms of funding, in 2018, Hope For All began exclusively partnering with the Kinshasa, DRC orphanage which it supports today. While this partnership began to provide tuition funding for the 100 children living in the orphanage, the partnership has grown to include nutrition and medical funding as well.
